Brian Leiter has addressed related issues at his blog with postings like: “How To Make A Lateral Move” and “Should Law Schools Require “Look-See” Visits Before Hiring Faculty Laterally?” which generated interesting discussion threads about topics that included a debate about whether a “visit” requirement for someone looking to move laterally imposed disproportionate burdens on female law profs.
