I suppose I wasn’t supposed to notice that this is the only panel on which any women make an appearance?
Oh, I noticed that too. All too typical in legal academia, unfortunately. Still, the fact that women on the panel are thinking about feminism has to be a good sign, or so I hope.
I agree, I’m glad they’ve got the panel, but personally I would be more interested to see what those speakers had to say about the other two panel topics. A feminist take on modesty, for example, would be fascinating, much moreso than the age-old Is There Such A Thing As A Pro-Life Feminist? debate. Maybe the Law and Christian Feminism panel will be more nuanced than that. One can hope.
