Revolting NYT story here. The basic thesis is that women will have to work harder at physical perfection (or at least a perfect appearance) if they want to appear in “high definition” pornography because porn consumers don’t want to see their razor burns, cellulite, or blemishes.
The ‘director’ they quoted sounds like a moron. Porn actors spend a heck of a lot of time on their looks–more time exercising is not going to get rid of razor burn, for crying out loud. Kudos to the other people quoted in the article who laughed at the notion that porn buyers all want unnatural appearance.
