Yes, Vile.

Take a deep breath and read this post at IBTP. I watched the video, and it is going to haunt me for a long time.

And what is the point of her being almost completely naked from the waist down? That is not the normal dress for the region. What it tells me is, there was a mixture of sex with this violence.

My guess is that someone forcibly removed her clothes, to make her seem more deserving of punishment. I’m typing this at 2:45 a.m. because that video is what I see when I close my eyes. I’m feeling very guilty for being safe and comfortable in my home when so many women are in such desperate danger.

A commenter at I Blame the Patriarchy links to a petition about this atrocity at

    http://www.petitiononline.com/kurdish/

and to a site dealing with similar atrocities at

    http://www.ikwro.org.uk/

    both worth a visit.

One can only imagine the horrible, horrible things that must have taken place in the world before mass communication allowed us to be witness to such violent things. Imagine the scene when King Richard had over 3000 people (men, women and CHILDREN) SLAUGHTERED in 3 days during his Crusade to take Jeruusalem just because he was in a hurry to get there and did not want to WASTE resources caring for non-combatants! What a shame on us all! No business should be done with a regime that allows this! We should also boycot any company that does business there! SIGN THE PETITION, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
