To my friends and colleagues who rejoice this morning, with an extra special shout out to Susan Kuo and Danielle Holley-Walker: Yes We Did.
As Tony Infanti has already noted, there is still a lot of work to do. But for a few more hours at least, before I am overloaded with a host of pitched oberservations about What It All Means, I’m going to put my rampant cynicism aside and be grateful for the impending end of an administation that did not serve this country very well at all.

Thanks Ann for the shout out. I have been so lucky to volunteer for this campaign and do it with beautiful, spirited and inspirational women like you and Susan. There is so much work to be done and a lot of reflection to be had, but I know I will return to my memories of the campaign for strength and renewal of purpose.
“an administation that did not serve this country very well at all” – the understatement of the century! This is a thorough repudiation of all sorts of policies and people that are completely incompatible with social justice. Now, whether Obama’s administration succeeds in actually furthering social justice is something yet to be seen, but for now, we can certainly rejoice in the possibility.
