I can’t pretend there is anything feminist or gender related about this, but, wow, a Bruce Springsteen Symposium!!!! More info here.
This song got me through some rough days in the early 1980s:
Maybe I should submit an abstract!

I think it would be quite easy, and interesting, to write about gender themes — notably images of masculinity — in Springsteen’s music. I can also think of several possible legal hooks: labor/employment (“The Factory”), immigration (“Sinaloa Cowboys”), criminal law (“Nebraska”), and family law (“Hungry Heart”) come immediately to mind.
Cool! Let’s hope the influence of music can be examined for it’s positive and negative impact on feminism as it is examined for it’s impact on culture in general. I would imagine there are many candidates. There must be a lot of discussion to be had, too! “Feed your head!”
