It's a great handout for parents. The following is a checklist designed for use by preschool teachers who have children moving to Kindergarten. In my classroom, every student wrote his or her name every day on a large pad of paper, as described in the post, and they were all required to write with lowercase from day one. I suspect he will start writing with capitals because of the straight lines (we do some of the capital letter handwriting activities on this blog), but I will certainly teach him lowercase before kindergarten.
